The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) changes the way in which disability services are delivered within Australia. The NDIS enables individuals to reach their goals, participate within the community and increase independence.

WHAT IS NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an innovative way to provide support to individuals with disability and their families. The unique funding scheme is focused on helping people have choice and control in all decision making. With the NDIS, individuals can access:

  • Available mainstream support services
  • Informal support arrangements
  • Support services within your community
  • Funded support
  • Other services you might not find easily on your own

Accommodation / Tenancy
We can offer support and service for accommodation and tenancy so you can live in a place you need.

Assist – Travel / Transport
We can help if you often travel. This will enable you to have easy and seamless travel wherever you wish to go.

Community Nursing Care
We provide community nursing care and visits to places where our service and support are highly needed.

Therapeutic Supports
We will provide therapeutic supports for pain relief and injury management.

Household Tasks
We can even provide support and services for household tasks. We are with you in carrying out your chores.

Assist Personal Activities
If there are things you love to do and cannot do them on your own, we will be there to help make them happen. Our expert team is passionate to help you enjoy life to the full.

Daily Tasks/ Shared Living
We can assist you with daily tasks if you like. We can even help your family who is with you inside your home to seamlessly handle various tasks.

Group/Centre Activities
Maintain a fun and active lifestyle with the people around you when you enjoy activities organised by Simba Support Services.

Participant Community
Become an active part of the community. We will help you stay in touch with people you never had a chance to interact with before. We can help you get involved.

Plan Management
We can help you maintain good plan management for your life so you will know what to do next and how to do it.

DO I QUALIFY FOR NDIS?

To find out more about how you can become eligible, please use the My Access Checker, to receive assistance and guidance on the next steps to access the NDIS.

To successfully enjoy the benefits of being an NDIS participant, you need to qualify first.

Applicants should:

  • have a permanent disability that prevents participation in daily activities,
  • be not older than 65 years,
  • be an Australian citizen or Permanent/Protected Special Category VISA holder, and
  • be a resident of any area that NDIS covers.

(Important Note: If NDIS is not available in your area, please look for locations where you can access it.)

PREPARING FOR YOUR NDIS MEETING?

Your plan meeting is to discuss with the planner to determine the type of help you may need and what goes into your NDIS Plan. At Simba, we understand that your first Plan Meeting, can cause you a lot of anxiety and stress.

We have developed an NDIS Tool Plan Kit, that enable to be well prepared for your first NDIS Planning Meeting.

The benefits of the Tool Kit helps you write down all the things you want included within your NDIS Plan and the type of support you require.

TEMPORARY TRANSFORMATION PAYMENT(TTP)

Please note that our fees will increase slightly from the 1st July 2020.

NDIA have introduced the TTP in the Price Guide for 2020 – 21. This replaced the Temporary Support for Overheads.

From 1st July 2020, providers of attendant care and community centre-based activities can charge a higher support price limit. This is through the TTP.

Simba Support Services adhere to the TTP requirement set out by the NDIA. This includes personal activities, group and center-based activities, high intensity daily personal activities, participation in community, social and civic activities, etc..

 How does the TTP Work?

Under the support item a loading of 7.5 has been added. This loading will reduce by 1.5% each year.

Every support item that the TTP applies to (attendant care and community access) has tow support items and tow price limits:

  • The Non-TTP items should be used by providers who are not compliant with the TTP conditions.
  • The TTP items should be used by providers who are compliant with the TTP conditions.
