The most common symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are fever, chills or sweats, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, or loss of sense of smell.

It is important that everyone with coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms, however mild, gets tested and stays at home until they receive their test results. Those who test positive and their close contacts must isolate for 14 days.

The below local community areas have been selected due to the high rates of recent community transmission. The risk of undetected coronavirus circulating in the community and the risk of outbreaks within the below communities.

  • Keilor Downs
  • Broadmeadows
  • Maidstone
  • Albanvale
  • Sunshine West
  • Hallam
  • Brunswick West

The government is requesting all residents in these suburbs to get tested regardless of having any COVID-19 symptoms. We strongly encourage every resident within these areas to get tested, to ensure the safety of the family members, clients, and staff members.
